China Banking Regulatory Commission Ex-chairman Liu Mingkang Was Employed as Lingnan (University) College Honorary Dean and Delivered an Academic Lecture

On Dec 7th, Liu Mingkang, member of the 17th Central Committee, member of the National Energy Commission, member of the People's Bank of China Monetary Policy Committee and ex-chairman of China Banking Regulatory Commission visited Sun Yat-sen University. He was the guest speaker of the “Lingnan Finance and Economics Lectures—Lecture One” and was employed as Lingnan (University) College Honorary Dean.

On the same day, Mr. Liu Mingkang had a talk with President Xu Ningsheng and Lingnan (University) College Dean Xu Xinzhong respectively.

In the evening, Mr. Liu Mingkang was invited to be the guest speaker of the “Lingnan Finance and Economics Lectures—Lecture One” and gave a lecture “Analysis of Current Economic Situation and Upgrade of Industries”. From the international economic situation, the European debt crisis, developed economies characteristics, opportunity and challenge of China and other aspects, Liu Mingkang analyzed the current economic situation and upgrade of industries with numerous examples and humorous language and led to the question that how to grasp the opportunity and meet the challenge in the world economy. The students deeply appreciated Liu Mingkang's Charisma, profound and professional knowledge, which have broadened their thinking and insight.
