【Nanfang Daily】Experts Discussed the 21st Century Global Regional and Urban Development

Hosted by Sun Yat-sen University and Guangdong Association of Social Sciences and organized by SYSU China Public Management Research Center, SYSU School of Government and Academic Research Magazine, the 1st International Conference on Regional and Urban Development in the 21st Century and the Lingnan Forum was held in Guangzhou. In the one and a half days keynote speech and panel discussion, more than 20 international renowned experts from United States of America, Britain, France, Germany, Canada, Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan region and 50 famous mainland scholars shared their research results and practical experience on regional and urban policy study and had a thorough discussion on the latest progress of globalization and regional development, global urban areas management and planning, comparison on multinational cross-regional governance, intergovernmental relations, the Pearl River Delta urban agglomeration and regional development and other important issues. The forum has played a positive role in drawing lessons from the international for China's regional and urban studies and focusing on local issues.
