SYSU Professor He Xionglei’s Research Paper Published in Science New Mechanism of Chromatin Structure’s Regulation on DNA Mutations Is Discovered

Young Professor He Xionglei, working in School of Life Sciences of Sun Yat-sen University, has made significant progress with his research group in How Chromatin Structure Regulates DNA Mutations, and the findings were published in the journal of Science on March 9. This is the first time SYSU published a paper on Science as the leading organization over the past decade, achieving a historic breakthrough. Senior PhD student, Chen Xiaoshu, majoring in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at SYSU, worked as the lead author.

Science is one of the two most influential academic journals with the Impact Factor of 31.364, and papers published on this journal reveal the progress of international scientific research at the leading edge. Over the past 100 years, many symbolic achievements of science in the world first appeared in this journal. The successful publication of the paper by Professor He Xiongwei in Science is a new breakthrough for the University.
