【Xinhua Net】 Searching for Blue Water Maps Paike Contest was Launched; Water Saving Project of Guangzhou Colleges and Universities Started

Xinhua Net Guangzhou reported on April 1 (Wu Yanting) Recently, “Searching for Blue Water Maps, and Making a Better World” national colleges and universities water saving lectures have come to Sun Yat-sen University. “Campus Paike Contest of Searching for Blue Water Maps——Today You Photograph ‘Water’” Guangzhou Project was launched, through Paike contest and promoting water saving concept, the project aimed to encourage students and faculty of Guangdong colleges and universities to participate in water saving activities.

This project was co-initiated by Center for Environmental Education and Communications of State Environmental Protection Administration and AB InBev. More than 100 students who were enthusiastic in environment protection also gathered in SYSU. Additionally experts from Geography and Planning School of SYSU gave brilliant reports in the perspectives of water environment public policy and water economics.

It is said that “2011-2012 Searching for Blue Water Maps——Today You Photograph ‘Water’ Campus Paike Contest” is held in turn in colleges and universities around the nation. By collecting excellent water saving videos, the contest is designed to stimulate college students’ water-saving inspiration and creativity, and to generate positive social influence through students’ actions and practice, making their own contributions to promoting national participation in water saving and water resources protection. The winner will have direct access to the final round of 2012 AB InBev “Supply Chain Outstanding Talent” recruitment program.
