Funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the National Basic Research Program (also called 973 Program), the team led by Professor Qu Lianghu and Professor Zhou Hui from SYSU School of Life Sciences has made important progress in the study on the anti-tumor mechanisms of the natural medicine oridonin, discovering that oridonin can efficiently and specifically induce the ubiquitinoylation degradation of the oncoprotein c-Myc.
