On Jun 10, the sixteenth “Foreign Language Teaching and Research Press (FLTRP) Amazon Cup” National Debating Competition (South China Division) Final was held at Guangzhou University. 46 teams from universities in Guangdong, Guangxi, Fujian, Guizhou and Hainan Provinces participated in the contest. After a fierce competition, SYSU beat other teams and won the champion finally while South China Agricultural University took the second place, and Guangzhou University and Fuzhou University shared the third place.

This competition has been successfully held for fifteen years. With the most participants, highest level and farthest influence, it is a significant national contest among universities in southern China.
