Recently, the General Office of the United Front Work Department of CCCPC sent a letter of thanks to the United Front Work Department of the CPC Guangdong Provincial Committee, expressing sincere gratitude to Prof. Liu Xin for his efforts in the service activities organized by the United Front Work Department of CCCPC. Prof. Liu Xin went to Kunming and Diqing Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture in Yunan Province with the “Together with One Heart · Non-Party Academician Service Group”. In the letter, it is mentioned that Professor Liu Xin, non-Party personage, member of the National Committee of CPPCC, Vice President of Guangdong Intellectual Association, academician of International Academy of Sciences for Europe and Asia (IASEA) and Dean of the Academe of Food and Health Engineering, Sun Yat-sen University, was an active participant in Yunan. With a strong sense of responsibility to facilitate the leap-forward development and lasting stability in the Tibetan Prefecture, Liu Xin overcame high altitude hypoxia and conducted more than 40 service projects with other group members in colleges, institutions, enterprises, villages, towns, and ecological construction sites such as wetland reserve, publicity and education demonstration base of biodiversity and environmental protection in alpine botanical garden, and planting and breeding bases of Tibetan species. He carefully studied the development of characteristic industries and biological industries in Diqing, made a lot of preparations in advance, offered many valuable opinions and suggestions, and gave scientific lectures to the leaders of relevant departments in Diqing. Prof. Liu Xin cared about the minority region, demonstrated a higher level of participation in the administration and discussion of state affairs, and made positive contributions to the success of the service activities.
