QINGYUAN---Guangzhou Daily News. Recently our journalist learnt from Huanghua Town, Yingde that the Cocoa tea (Camellia ptilophylla Chang) with national patent has been planted contiguously in Huanghua Town for the first time, which will promote the transformation and upgrading of the tea industry in Yingde, Guangdong.
At the Huanghua high-quality tea seedling base where grotesque peaks stand tall and upright, the contiguous tea growing is on a large scale. Here, Camellia ptilophylla Chang No.1 and No. 2, the only natural growing tea species in the world that contain no caffeine, are planted in a large area and sprouting at present.
It is learned that the Cocoa tea was developed through 30 years of meticulous introduction and breeding by many experts and scholars from Sun Yat-sen University and Guangdong Tea Research Institute.
