Professor SHI Junqi's Research Paper Published in Journal of Applied Psychology

Prof.SHI Junqi works in Lingnan College at Sun Yat-sen University. His research paper entitled "Linking subordinate political skill to supervisor dependence and reward recommendations: A moderated mediation model" has been published in Journal of Applied Psychology, a top academic journal recognized by world's leading business schools and ranks among top 1% in SSCI, with an impact factor reaching 4.308 this year.

Prof.Shi mainly studies and analyzes political skill in organizations in the paper. He points out that political skill in organizations refers to the ability to understand others effectively and influence them with the knowledge gained from understanding in order to achieve personal goals or organization objectives. Multilevel analysis of statistics techniques is used to inspect the link between subordinate political skill and supervisor dependence and reward recommendations, as well as its intermediary mechanism and mediation mechanism. This finding provides new evidence for understanding the mechanism of how subordinates' political skills can influence their social life in organizations. Therefore, it is of practical significance for company management.
