By far, the pilot application of the base has put in motion the industrialization of domestic digital terminal chips and basic software. It will gradually extend its power to such fields as architectural electronics, smart grid, automotive electronics, and intelligent buildings. Statistics show that by October 31, 2012, 238 enterprises have joined the base, creating a production value of 9.745 billion RMB and a tax of 189 million RMB in 2011. In order to realize digital home interactive application, the base will construct a public service platform to satisfy the needs of the citizens and build high-tech industrial clusters based in the Pearl River Delta, and oriented toward the country and the world. It will finally build 1,000 digital home experience houses to serve as an application demonstration platform, with an expected production value of 50 billion RMB by 2015.
