Sun Yat-sen University Obtains Cultural Relics Protection Projects Qualifications

As notification from Guangdong Cultural Relic Bureau, according to Document No.508 [2012] of Guangdong Cultural Relics, Sun Yat-sen University has obtained Grade B Qualification of Survey and Design for Cultural Relics Protection Projects (Business scope: Preservation of Sites of Ancient Culture and Ancient Tombs) and Grade B Qualification of Supervision for Cultural Relics Protection Projects (Business scope: Preservation of Sites of Ancient Culture and Ancient Tombs), relying on the archeology discipline of the School of Sociology and Anthropology. Obtaining of the qualifications has a great significance not only in the development of archeology discipline, but also for Sun Yat-sen University in better serving both the local area and the society in the field of cultural heritage protection and research.
