Composed by Research Center for China Science Evaluation (RCCSE), Wuhan University Library, and Network of Science & Education Evaluation in China, cooperated with agencies including Institute of Scientific and Technical Information of China, Chinese Academic Journal (CD Edition) Electronic Publishing House and Thomson Reuters, A Report on Chinese Academic Journals Evaluation (2013-2014) was recently published by Science Press.

Through systematic research and comprehensive evaluation of 6,445 kinds of Chinese academic journals, the book released "A guide and rank of RCCSE authoritative journals and core journals", 327 authoritative journals and 964 core journals were selected. Social science edition, natural science edition and medical sciences edition of Journal of Sun Yat-sen University were classified as "authoritative journals". Among a total of 352 kinds of natural science comprehensive journals (including university journals and other comprehensive journals), 18 authoritative journals (A+ class) and 52 core journals (A class) were selected, and Natural Science Edition of Journal of Sun Yat-sen University (Acta Scientiarum Naturalium Universitatis Sunyatseni) was ranked No.1 among these authoritative journals.
