Professor Ma Guoqing is appointed as Director of Ethnology Teaching Guidance Committee for Colleges and Universities of Ministry of Education

According to the Notice on the Establishment of 2013-2017 Teaching Guidance Committees for Colleges and Universities of Ministry of Education announced by MOE on April 27, 2013, the Ethnology Teaching Guidance Committee for Colleges and Universities (ETGCCU) is a newly established committee in charge of the study, consultation, guidance, evaluation and service of undergraduate teaching in ethnology, anthropology, Marxism ethnology theory and policy, Chinese minority economy, Chinese minority history and Chinese minority arts. The 1st ETGCCU is consisted of 1 director, 2 deputy directors, 1 secretary-general and 19 committee members.

Ma Guoqing, a professor at the Department of Anthropology of SYSU, is appointed as the director of ETGCCU. Meanwhile, the Secretariat of ETGCCU is located in SYSU. Tan Tongxue, an associate professor at the Department of Anthropology of SYSU, is appointed as the secretary-general of ETGCCU.
