MOE Key Laboratory of Bioinorganic and Synthetic Chemistry assessed as an excellent lab

Recently, the Ministry of Education announced the assessment result of state key laboratories in chemical sciences. Three labs are assessed as excellent, including the MOE Key Laboratory of Bioinorganic and Synthetic Chemistry at SYSU.
The MOE Key Laboratory of Bioinorganic and Synthetic Chemistry is mainly focused on basic research across the disciplines of physical chemistry, materials chemistry and chemical biology, as well as applied basic research. The research in the lab is aimed at disciplinary frontiers and important national demands. In the past five years, the lab has made important progress and has gained many high-level research achievements.
In recent years, SYSU has increased support for the state and provincial/ministerial key laboratories in running expenses to strengthen management and improve their academic level and status. The state key laboratories at SYSU play an important role in gathering top talents, undertaking major research tasks and promoting collaborative innovation, thus making greater contributions to the implementation of the strategy of development driven by innovation as well as the construction of an innovative country.
