Recently, the Guangdong provincial conference on celebrating the 2018 Teachers’ Day and commending excellent teachers was held in Guangzhou. This year a total of 1,179 “Nanyue Excellent Teachers” and 130 “Nanyue Excellent Education Workers” are selected and commended.

In 2018, 11 teachers from Sun Yat-sen University receive the honor of “Nanyue Excellent Teachers”: Professor Hu Xuelian from School of Marxism, Professor Chen Shaoming from Department of Philosophy, Professor Lin Gang from Department of Chinese, Professor Cai Ming from School of Intelligent Systems Engineering, Professor He Zhumei from Shool of Life Sciences, Professor Li Gaoren from School of Chemistry, Associate Professor Wang Xuelan from Zhongshan School of Medicine, Professor Zhou Hanjian from The Third Affiliated Hospital, Professor Kuang Ming from The First Affiliated Hospital, Professor Lai Jiaming from The First Affiliated Hospital, and Professor Hao Yuantao from School of Public Health. In addition, Professor Li Hua from Department of Psychology wins the title of “Nanyue Excellent Education Workers”.
