SYSU Holds First Seminar on International Industrial Medicine and Clinical Medicine

FromOctober10 to 11, in order to help Chinesemedical workers keep abreast of the trends the international industrial medicine and clinical medicine, as to expedite the research and exploitation of innovative pharmaceuticalsdevelopment and promote the rapid development of Chinese industrial medicine, clinical medicine and therapeutics, Sun Yat-Sen University, in collaboration with GuangdongPharmaceutical Association,the South China Center for Innovative Pharmaceuticals, and McGill University(Canada) held the First Seminar on International Industrial Medicine and Clinical Medicine in Guangzhou. About two hundred noted specialists and delegates in related studies from the USA, Canada, Australia, Japan, Hong Kong, Macau and mainland China attended the meeting.

On the morning of October 10, Chen Xinzi, theAcademician of the Academy of Science of China and the Honorary Dean ofSchool of Pharmaceutical Science of Sun Yat-Sen University, Yan Guangmei, the Vice President of SYSU and the director of the South China Center for Innovative Pharmaceuticals and Tao Jianhong, the Secretary of Guangdong Pharmaceutical Association all gave speeches at the opening ceremony. The Vice President Yan Guangmei recounted on the university’s effort and accomplishments on respecting the innovative pharmaceuticals, he also expressed his anticipation of launching an interaction platform for international industrial medicine and clinical medicine, so as to promotemutual understanding and cooperation, accelerate the pace of innovative pharmaceuticalsdevelopment, and be committed to promoting the rapid development in the health cause of human race.
