The Choral Competition held by Zhongshan Ophthalmic Center on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the PRC kicked off on the afternoon of September 23rd. The Alumni Hall on the North Campus was packed with people from Ophthalmology dedicating songs to celebrate the birthday of their motherland, expressing their appreciation for what they have today and their wishes for a better tomorrow.

With branch parties as units, and with a choice of 100 patriotic songs recommended by 10 ministries and commissions including the Propaganda Department and the Civilization Office of the Central Committee of the CPC, the contestants were evaluated comprehensively according to the vocal and the organization. The leaders of the Ophthalmic Center had attached great importance to/ this competition. The party branches also exerted their efforts in parts ranging from clothing, formation, props to recitation and leading vocalist. A total of 4 first prizes, 6 second prizes, 8 third prizes were handed out through the fierce contest.
