Faculty of Medical Sciences Starts Student Exchange Programs with University of Duisburg-Essen
The other day, led by the deputy director of the Faculty of Medical Sciences and the chief of Dean’s office of Medical Education Affairs Wang Tinghuai, fourteen students of the Faculty of Medical Sciences headed for University of Duisburg-Essen to attend an exchange programs which last for one month. This means the initiation of the exchange programs between the Faculty of Medical Sciences of SYSU and University of Duisburg-Essen.
On the afternoon of September 17, an exchange meeting was held between students and teachers of SYSU and University of Duisburg-Essen in the conference room of Klinniken Essen-Mitte Hospital in Germany. Dobos, Head of Naturopathy and integrative medicine department introduced the medical education, naturopathy and integrative medicine. He also retrospected the train of thought of the exchange programs and the cooperation in teaching, medical treatment and scientific research with SYSU. It is hoped that the programs can help build a bridge of friendship between the two universities.
Wang Tinghuai also delivered a speech; he first thanked University of Duisburg-Essen for their support on the exchange programs. He also said that the programs can broaden the students’ international visions and increase the competitiveness of medical personnel internationally. This is an important way of cultivating excellent doctors. He expressed his wish of strengthening exchange between the two universities.
