Guanghua School of Stomatology signed a cooperation agreement with School of Dentistry, Health Sciences University of Hokkaido

The signing ceremony of a cooperation agreement between Guanghua School of Stomatology, Sun Yat-sen University and School of Dentistry, Health Sciences University of Hokkaido was held in Guangzhou on June 27, 2014. Prof. Takashi Saito, Dean of School of Dentistry, Health Sciences University of Hokkaido; Prof. Cheng Bin, Executive Deputy Dean of Guanghua School of Stomatology; Prof. Li Xiangzhi, Party Secretary of Guanghua School of Stomatology; and Prof. Ling Junqi, Honorary Dean of Guanghua School of Stomatology, attended the signing ceremony.

At the ceremony, Prof. Cheng Bin extended a warm welcome to Prof. Takashi Saito; Prof. Ling Junqi reviewed the exchange and cooperation between the two schools. Prof. Takashi Saito introduced the School of Dentistry at Health Sciences University of Hokkaido and expressed the cooperation intention with Guanghua School of Stomatology. Prof. Cheng Bin and Prof. Takashi Saito signed the cooperation agreement on behalf of the two sides respectively. Then, Prof. Takashi Saito gave a lecture entitled “Dentin regeneration by human phosphophoryn-derived RGD peptides” to teachers and students of Guanghua School of Stomatology.

In February 2013, Dean Takashi Saito visited Guanghua School of Stomatology and gave a lecture; in December 2013, Honorary Dean Ling Junqi and Deputy Dean Lin Zhengmei paid a visit to School of Dentistry, Health Sciences University of Hokkaido, and introduced Chinese stomatological education. Now the signing of the cooperation agreement will further promote faculty and student visits, scientific research, talent cultivation and academic exchanges between the two schools.
