Recently, the Asia Pacific Vascular Biology Organization (APVBO) 2019 Conference, jointly organized by Zhongshan Ophthalmic Center (ZOC) of Sun Yat-sen University, State Key Laboratory of Ophthalmology (SKLO), and Asia Pacific Vascular Biology Organization (APVBO), was held in Zhujiang New Town Division of ZOC. Professor Yizhi Liu, Director of ZOC and Director of SKLO, presided over the opening ceremony and delivered a speech.
The conference mainly focused on eight themes, including Vascular Metabolism, Vascular Permeability and Stem/Progenitor Cells, Vascular Signaling, Lymphatic System and Vascular Injury, Neural-Vascular Link and Vascular Regulation, Tumor Angiogenesis and Vascular Inflammation, Vascular Diseases and Endothelial Specialization, and New Advances in Vascular Research.
More than 30 internationally renowned vascular biologists presented their recent findings. The conference brought together over 300 vascular researchers from home and abroad, providing an academic platform for scientific communication, collaboration and education, thus promoting vascular biology research in ZOC, Guangdong province, China, and even the Asia Pacific region.
