On November 12-14, 2016, the 4th Research Forum of the Australia-China Centre for Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine (ACCTERM), undertaken by Hospital of Stomatology, Sun Yat-sen University (SYSU), was held successfully. The main theme of this year’s Forum is to promote and expand scientific cooperation and communication between China and Australia, and accelerate the translation process of stem cell technology, biomaterials, and medical devices from the perspectives of scientists, bioengineers and clinicians. Experts from the United States, Australia and China gathered together to share emerging science, exchange ideas, strengthen collaborative links and develop innovative research project concepts. Excellent postgraduate students from stomatology schools at universities in China participated in the oral presentations at the Forum.
At the opening ceremony, Prof Bin Cheng, Dean of Guanghua School of Stomatology, SYSU; Prof Yin Xiao, ACCTERM Director and Chair of Bone and Tissue Engineering Program, Institute of Health and Biomedical Innovation (IHBI), Queensland University of Technology (QUT); Prof Xuehua Wang, Assistant President of SYSU; Mr Lu Zeng, Director of Exchange and Cooperation Department, Guangdong Provincial Department of Science and Technology, delivered a speech respectively.
