The International Congress of Immunology (ICI) is a conference organized by the International Union of Immunological Societies (IUIS) that is consisted of societies of Immunology from various countries including China, the United States, and other countries. ICI, which is called an“Immunology Olympic”and is considered as the highest arena in the field of Immunology, is held every three years by IUIS.
The 16th ICI is held in Melbourne, a coastal city in Australia, on August 20-26 this year, attracting nearly ten thousand international Immunology experts to participate in the meeting.

Dr. Song G Zheng, an Immunologist in the Department of Clinical Immunology in the Third Affiliated Hospital at Sun Yat-sen University (SYSU) was invited to serve as a Chair of B cell session in the 16th ICI. Dr. Felix March-Wakefield, an Immunologist at University of Sidney in Australia was appointed as a co-Chair for this session. Dr. Zheng also presented his updated work focusing on regulatory effects of Treg cells on B cells in this meeting.
