"Chihiro & Totto-chan”, the fine art exhibition was recently opened at SYSU. Children and parents were amazed and excited to see these watercolors with soft lines and vivid expressions. The collection has nearly forty artwork pieces. These artworks are created by Chihiro Iwasaki, an accomplished Japanese artist and illustrator. She is best known by Chinese readers for her watercolors selected to illustrate the book “Totto-Chan: The Little Girl at the Window”, which sold about 4 million copies in China.
The book “Totto-Chan: The Little Girl at the Window”, written by Kuroyanagi Tetsuko, a well-known Japanese writer and UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador, is a classic autobiographical memoir about the author’s childhood memories of a peaceful and happy life at school.
