The First Appointment Ceremony of International Student Country Representatives Held in SYSU

On July 2, The First (2012) Appointment Ceremony of SYSU International Student Country Representatives was held in School of Chinese as a Second Language. Li Hanrong, Director of Education Development and Alumni Affairs Office, Liu Chuanhua, Deputy Director of Office of International Cooperation & Exchange, and the 2012 country representatives attended the ceremony.
The international student country representative is selected from the graduating class of 2012 and appointed as the representative of his or her native country. It is an effort of SYSU to maintain good communication with international student alumni.
In addition to conferring letters of appointment to country representatives at the ceremony, Director Li Hanrong also introduced the guiding principle of alumni affairs and the services provided by the Alumni Affairs Office, clearly defined the responsibilities of the country representatives, and expressed his hope that they will serve as a bridge between the alma mater and international student alumni.
