On November 27th, the lecture of “AN Xin’s Volunteer Holiday—Bringing More Happiness to Your Walk” was held at Room B304 of Public Teaching Building on East Campus, SYSU. AN Xin, Co-originator of “i Ya” and Heroine and Photographer of, a walker program on Travel Channel; ZHONG Sheng, Senior Editor of City Pictorial; LI Wen, Chief Editor of City Pictorial; and CHEN Jiajun, Originator of Guangzhou “Blue Sky and White Clouds” Action, attended the lecture.

AN Xin told of a confusing and painful experience during her college years at first, showing her constant idea—doing something to call on more young people to understand, tolerate and respect different groups in the society. With her experience of moving around mountains in Tibet, she told the audience that many things can’t be understood unless experienced, and “don’t belittle every chance of experiencing”. She also shared the skill of moving parents with reason when communicating with them, and the experience of trying in a planned way. “If you regard travel as a sort of life, it will become your job.”

ZHONG Sheng, Editor of City Pictorial, also went up onto the platform and shared the story of “Global Nomadic People” with the students. "Reflect, and then set out; setting out is for a better return.” LI Wen, Chief Editor of City Pictorial, provided a piece of advice to the students for solving puzzles —“Ask 5 ‘why’ in a row, and you can get an almost essential answer.” Immediately afterwards, CHEN Jiajun further shared his experience of doing public service with the students, and he deemed that “Tactics and methods should be paid attention to for the transition from ‘why’ to ‘how’."

This activity was undertaken by Youth Volunteers Association of Sun Yat-sen University.
