"Nature's Invitation" records the Canadian government’s efforts to get new immigrants in touch with nature in order to assist their integration into the community by offering free camping and gardening activities. The documentary not only displays the immense beauty of nature but also calls for nature protection and a connection to nature.
During exchanges with students, Brandy Yanchyk recounted the intention of her filming—to show the beauty of nature and encourage people to walk out of their house to embrace nature. Besides, Brandy told the audience from her own experience that one can live a happy life without being wealthy, as long as one has a dream and the perseverance to it.
