SYSU warmly embraces its 100th cohort of freshmen

On the historic occasion of Sun Yat-sen University's (SYSU) centennial anniversary, the university joyously ushered in a new chapter for its over 8000 undergraduate freshmen on August 28. As the gates of knowledge swung open wide, the vibrant energy of the incoming students filled the air with excitement and anticipation.

From the moment they stepped into the campus, the new students were greeted with enthusiastic and patient volunteers. They diligently assisted freshmen with registration procedures, offered directions with a smile, and lent a helping hand with luggage handling, ensuring that the newcomers feel warmth and care on their very first day of enrollment.

Within the bustling campus, a particularly notable sight stood out. Freshmen, accompanied by their families and friends, explored the iconic landmarks and posed for photographs in front of the welcoming banners and posters scattered throughout the campus. These moments were captured as cherished keepsakes, immortalizing their proud and memorable first steps into this new chapter of their academic lives.

Along the bustling campus avenues, a vibrant array of student clubs and societies set up booths, showcasing their unique cultures and inviting freshmen to explore diverse interests. From academic debates to creative arts, sporting events to cultural performances, the array of activities promised a smorgasbord of surprises and opportunities for personal growth.
