Before the 2016 Spring Festival, Prof. Wu Chuangzhi, Secretary of Party Leadership Group and Vice President of the Guangzhou Branch of Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), Prof. Chen Chunsheng, Secretary of SYSU Party Committee, and Prof. Luo Jun, President of SYSU, respectively visited academicians and teacher representatives of SYSU.

On January 29, Prof. Wu Chuangzhi visited Academician Chen Xiaoming, Academician Ji Liangnian and Academician Su Qiang respectively, and extended festive greetings from the CAS Bureau of Academic Divisions to the three academicians.

On February 1, President Luo Jun paid a visit to Academician Ji Liangnian and Academician Su Qiang of School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, as well as Academician Lin Haoran of School of Life Sciences respectively. President Luo Jun asked about their work, life and health, extending spring greetings and best wishes to them on behalf of the University. He said that in this crucial period of reform and development, the University will try to create a good atmosphere and environment, further strengthen support for talents and research teams, and promote the University’s development to a new level.

On February 3, Secretary Chen Chunsheng paid a visit to Prof. Xia Shuzhang of School of Government at Prof. Xia’s home. He also visited Prof. Peng Yuping of Department of Chinese and Prof. Li Xinchun of Sun at-sen Business School at their offices. Secretary Chen Chunsheng asked about their life and work, and introduced the University’s development in the past year. He said that the University would put more efforts into internal development, enhance talent introduction, create a better environment for the development of young teachers, and try to provide good service and support. He also hoped that the professors would make more suggestions for the development of the University.

Relevant university leaders also paid visits to teacher representatives in the affiliated hospitals, and went to Zhuhai Campus and Guangzhou East Campus to visit the students who stay on campus during the Spring Festival holiday.
