In order to accelerate the development and construction of Zhuhai Campus and implement the agreement between Sun Yat-sen University (SYSU) and Zhuhai City on new type of strategic cooperation, a work promotion meeting on Zhuhai Campus construction was held in Zhuhai on January 5, 2016.

Zhuhai representatives attending the meeting included Mr. Zhao Jianguo, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Zhuhai Municipal Committee, Ms. Long Guangyan, Vice Mayor of Zhuhai, and Mr. Zhong Yijun, Director of Zhuhai Education Bureau. SYSU participants included Prof. Chen Chunsheng, Secretary of SYSU Party Committee, as well as leaders of SYSU’s Construction Bureau, Zhuhai Campus Administration, The Fifth Affiliated Hospital, Publicity Department, and Development & Planning Office.
The participants in the meeting agreed that the 13th Five-Year Plan will be a golden era for the development of SYSU’s Zhuhai Campus. Zhuhai City and the University should take this opportunity to implement the strategic cooperation tasks and promote the construction and development of Zhuhai Campus, thereby making contributions to developing SYSU into a world-class university as well as Zhuhai’s new round of economic and social development.
