A delegation from Woosong University visited SYSU

On the afternoon of March 30, 2015, a seven-member delegation led by Kam Seo Won, Vice President of International Relations & Cooperations of Woosong University, visited Sun Yat-sen University (SYSU). Members of the delegation also included Chio Woo Suk, Dean of Chinese Department, and Kim Sung Tae, Assistant Professor of SolBridge International School of Business.

Prof. Wei Minghai, Vice President of SYSU, met with the guests in the VIP Hall of Zhongshan Building, accompanied by Prof. Zhou Xiaobing, Dean of School of Chinese as a Second Language, Associate Professor Zhang Shitao, Vice Dean of School of Chinese as a Second Language, and Ms. Xu Yao, Deputy Director of Office of International Cooperation & Exchange.

Prof. Wei Minghai extended a warm welcome to the delegation. He said that Sun Yat-sen Business School of SYSU has established good cooperative relations with Woosong University. He hoped that the two universities would expand exchange and cooperation in the fields of business and Chinese international education.

Vice President Kam Seo Won said that she was pleased to visit SYSU. She gave a general introduction to Woosong University, especially the achievements of SolBridge International School of Business. Woosong University hoped to promote collaborations with Sun Yat-sen Business School, and conduct student exchange and joint program with School of Chinese as a Second Language.

Afterwards, members of the delegation held a discussion with representatives of School of Chinese as a Second Language. The two sides exchanged views on deepening cooperation.

Founded in 1995, Woosong University is the third largest educational group in South Korea. Its SolBridge International School of Business has been accredited by AAPBS and AACSB. In 2009, Sun Yat-sen Business School signed a student exchange agreement with SolBridge International School of Business. Since 2010, SYSU has sent students annually to participate in the cultural winter camp and summer camp program of Woosong University.
