Guanghua School of Stomatology renews agreement for exchange programs with Penn Dental Medicine

On March 3, 2017, Prof. Syngcuk Kim, Associate Dean of University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine (Penn Dental Medicine), visited Guanghua School of Stomatology at Sun Yat-sen University, and renewed the agreement for exchange programs between the two schools.

Prof. Cheng Bin, Dean of Guanghua School of Stomatology, delivered a welcome speech, saying that the School will give full play to its strengths and achieve more fruitful results in future cooperation. Prof. Syngcuk Kim reviewed the achievements of cooperation in the past five years, and hoped to deepen cooperation between the two schools.

At the signing ceremony, Prof. Cheng Bin and Prof. Syngcuk Kim renewed the agreement for exchange programs on behalf of the two schools. After the signing ceremony, Prof. Syngcuk Kim held a discussion with doctors from the Department of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics about future cooperation projects.

Established in 1878, Penn Dental Medicine is among the oldest university-affiliated dental schools the United States. In 2010, Prof. Ling Junqi, then Dean of Guanghua School of Stomatology, led a delegation on visit to Penn Dental Medicine. In September 2011, Prof. Syngcuk Kim visited Guanghua School of Stomatology, and signed an agreement of cooperation and exchange. In the past five years, the two schools have maintained good relationship and conducted fruitful cooperation.

The renewal of the agreement between Guanghua School of Stomatology and Penn Dental Medicine will promote academic cooperation, faculty visits and joint programs between the two schools.
