On September 19, a delegation led by Prof. Caitlin Byrne, Pro Vice Chancellor of Griffith University, visited Sun Yat-sen University (SYSU).
Prof. Fan Wang, Deputy Secretary of SYSU Party Committee, met with the guests in Room 713 of Zhongshan Building, Guangzhou South Campus. Representatives from School of Business, School of Tourism Management, and Office of International Cooperation & Exchange attended the meeting.

Deputy Secretary Fan Wang warmly welcomed the guests and introduced the campuses, location advantages, the reform of the academic system, and recent development achievements of SYSU. He said that the two universities have a long history of cooperation, since the first student and faculty exchange agreement was signed in 1983. Over the years, the two sides have made frequent visits to each other and the cooperation has been fruitful. In the future, both sides will continue to deepen the connection, and strive to innovate the mode and expand the field of cooperation.
Pro Vice Chancellor Caitlin Byrne expressed her appreciation for the warm hospitality of SYSU. She visited SYSU many years ago and was deeply impressed by the beauty of the campus. She looked forward to this visit to deepen the understanding, consolidate the friendship, and reconstruct various forms of exchanges and cooperation between the two sides after the epidemic.
Representatives from School of Business and School of Tourism Management had in-depth exchanges with Griffith Business School representatives and reached consensuses on cooperation, including cooperation in applying for CSC talents cultivation programs, organizing faculty exchange workshops, developing joint training programs, MBA overseas class programs, and so on.
Deputy Secretary Fan Wang invited Griffith University to participate in the activities of the SYSU centennial celebration next year, and presented a souvenir to the delegation.
