On The morning of December 3rd, Ms. Barbara Lison, whose titles including President of German Library and Information Association (BID), Vice-Chairman of European Bureau of Library, Information and Documentation Associations (EBLIDA), Curator of Bremen, Germany Public Library, and Director-General of Bremen Literature Prize Foundation visited SYSU on invitation.

Ms. Barbara Lison made an academic report titled Changing Societies Need Innovative Libraries on the East Campus, and more than 300 people had listened to the report including undergraduate, masters and doctoral students, staff of the Library Science of Information Management Department of SYSU, as well as librarians. After the academic report, Chairman Lison had a one-hour academic discussion with teachers of Information Management Department, SYSU, librarians as well as master and doctoral students. Ms. Barbara Lison had also visited the Main Library and the East Campus Library of SYSU.
