SYSU and National Quality Inspection Center for Photovoltaic Products signed a strategic cooperation agreement and the unveiling ceremony of “Inspection, Education and Research” Cooperation Base was held in Wuxi on the afternoon of May 18th. More than 120 people attended the ceremony, including Yang Weize, member of the Standing Committee of CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee and secretary of Wuxi Municipal Party Committee, Zhang Qian, deputy director of Jiangsu Provincial Quality Controlling Bureau, Wu Jianguo, director of National Quality Inspection Center for Photovoltaic Products, Huang Daren, president of SYSU, Xia Lianghui, assistant to the president, as well as the representatives of National Technical Committee for Standardization of Solar Photovoltaic Energy System, China Quality Certification Center and famous photovoltaic companies in China. The ceremony was hosted by Tan Xueming, deputy mayor of Wuxi.
Xia Lianghui, assistant to the president, and Wu Jianguo, director of National Quality Inspection Center for Photovoltaic Products, represented the two sides to sign the cooperation agreement. President Huang Daren and Yang Weize, secretary of Wuxi Municipal Party Committee, jointly unveiled a plaque to open the “Inspection, Education and Research” Cooperation Base. Zhang Qian, deputy director of Jiangsu Provincial Quality Controlling Bureau, presented appointment certificates to experts of the National Quality Inspection Center for Photovoltaic Products. Prof. Shen Hui from SYSU was also conferred the appointment certificate. In accordance with the strategic agreement, the two sides will cooperate in developing photovoltaic and its analysis and inspection technology in the aspects of scientific research projects, personnel training, and information exchange.
Yang Weize, pointed out in his speech that under the circumstance of global financial crisis, the cooperation of polity, produce, education and research was the only way to realize industrial upgrading and transformation and an inevitable choice for enhancing regional economic capacity to resist risks, and that the government would spare no effort to provide a full range of quality services, so that the cooperation between the two sides would bear more fruits.
President Huang Daren pointed out that the two sides’ building “Inspection, Education and Research” Cooperation Base would not only increase the solar photovoltaic industry’s competitiveness, but also would undoubtedly enhance SYSU’s capability and level of the research on solar energy.
