Recently, the 2015 National Fencing Championship Finals was held in Foshan, Guangdong province. Sun Yat-sen University Fencing Team won gold medals respectively in Men’s Epee Individual, Women’s Foil Individual and Men’s Sabre Individual at the College Group of the competition.

The competition was co-hosted by the General Administration of Sports of China and the Federation of University Sports of China. This year the organizers selected outstanding student fencers to participate in the College Group of the competition. Six members of the SYSU Fencing Team were selected into the finals, the highest number among universities nationwide.
