The 2nd SYSU Tibetan Cultural Festival Held

On June 11-13, 2015, the 2nd SYSU Tibetan Cultural Festival was held on South Campus of Sun Yat-sen University (SYSU). The event themed with Tibetan customs was cosponsored by the Publicity Department, SYSU Youth Association and the School of Sociology and Anthropology (SSA), and organized by the Student Union of SSA as well as the visiting teachers and exchange students from Tibet University for Nationalities.

At 10 am on June 11, the Tibetan cultural show was unveiled in Qinxin Square, consisting of five sections: Tibetan Food, Tibetan Souvenirs, Tibetan Clothing, Tibetan Names and Tibet Tour.

At 7 pm on June 13, the evening party was held in Ted Sioeng Student Activity Center. SYSU Vice President Yan Guangmei attended and addressed the evening party. The Tibetan students from SYSU and South China University of Technology as well as the exchange students from Tibet University for Nationalities staged performances on three themes: I Love Tibet, Tibet in Progress, and Colorful Tibet. In the interactive session, members of the SYSU Graduate Student Teaching Team shared their teaching experience in Tibet with the audience.
