The Student Entrepreneurial Team of Sun Yat-sen University was Honoured with the Gold Award and Innovative Cup in 2011 China—ASEAN Youth Innovation Contest

The final of 2011 China—ASEAN Youth Innovation Contest, hosted by Ministry of Education, was held in Shenzhen on December 3. With their programme 'From Application Development of App Store to Mobile Terminal Game Developer', the entrepreneurial team from Sun Yat-sen University 'Martin Network', consisting of five students from Business School, Academy of Entrepreneurship, School of Information Technology and Science, won the Gold Award in the entrepreneurship practice group among over 3000 teams from China, Philippine, Thailand, Indonesia, Laos and other countries. They were therefore awarded the highest honor in this competition—the Innovative Cup. Vice Minister of Education Wu Zhanyuan, Deputy Mayor of Shenzhen Wu Yihuan attended the competition and presented the awards to the winners.

This competition consisted of four kinds of contests, including creative product design, innovative marketing planning, management stimulation and entrepreneurship practice. Top three teams in each contest are honored with the Gold, Silver and Bronze Award respectively. The superior team of the four gold winners was awarded the highest prize in this international Youth Innovation Contest—the Innovative Cup.

The entrepreneurial team 'Martin Network' of Sun Yat-sen University was founded in April, 2010, with 18 fixed members in three modules, namely technology, design and marketing. 'Martin Network' focused on the full platforms game development of mobile terminal systems such as iOS, Android, Winphone. The team completed their first round of capital raising in 2011.
