Guangzhou Daily reported, Wu Chencen, a graduate student of School of International Studies, SYSU, was honored with the Third Prize and Miss Cultural Ethos Award in Miss Chinese Cosmos Pageant recently. This is the second time that Wu Chencen competed in Miss Chinese Cosmos Pageant. She is proficient in English and French, and has completed all the credits for SYSU graduate students in the first semester. This year, as a runner-up of “Universiade Star”, she even collected flame for Shenzhen Universiade.

Wu Chencen is endowed with both beauty and talent. In 2005, the “Sea Scooter”——a PC remote control robot invented and made by her, was evaluated as “being able to control tsunami timely and effectively”, which brought her the Second Prize Award of the 20th Guangdong Youth Science and Technology Innovation Contest.
