On May 18, the Year 2011 Southern China Students Baseball and Softball Tournament came to an end on East Campus of our university, 10 teams have participated in this competition altogether.

Our university sent a boys’ baseball team and a girls’ softball team to the competition, with Li Jingbo, Deputy Director of the Department of Physical Education, as the team leader and teacher Mao Heng as the coach. Through two days’ competing, the boys’ baseball team of our university won the championship and the girls’ softball team took the second place in the competition. Huang Wenjie and Lu Yongshi claimed the Outstanding Pitcher Award, Zhao Chongpeng, Chen Yangxiang and Xu Yue won the Outstanding Batsman Award, and Mao Heng received the Outstanding Coach Award.
