"Is there an objective criterion for happiness?” The proposition team, from South China Agricultural University, argued that the criterion for happiness was to fulfill the psychological, physical, and social needs. However, the opposition team, from Sun Yat-sen University, contended that happiness was different from person to person and from place to place, so there was no criterion at all. Yesterday, the First “Nansha Marshes Cup” Guangzhou College Students Debate Final officially commenced. Debaters contended on the specious topic “Happiness” cautiously, wisely and sharply. In the end, SYSU defeated SCAU by a narrow margin over, wining the reward of 10,000 yuan.
