SYSU Delegation Wins One Gold and Two Silver in ACM Asia, Hangzhou

On October 24, the 35th ACM International Collegiate Programming Contest was held in Hangzhou. This is the third stage SYSU delegation attends during this season. The three teams won one gold medal and two silver medals. The fifth team was formed by Fang Xiaominn, an undergraduate student of 2008 and two other students Huang Junde, Huang Wenhao, who are both students of 2008; they won the gold medal. The seventh team formed by Lin Haitao, an undergraduate student of 2007 and two other students Huang Bolin, Huang Jinwen, who are both students of 2009; they won the silver medal and ranked 2nd in all the silver medal winners. The fourth team also won the silver medal. The team is formed by Chen Yuanxun, an undergraduate student of 2007, Zheng Shizhen and Jiang Minhao, students of 2008. The students of these teams are all from Schoolof Information Science and Technology. The coach of SYSU delegation is Professor Guo Songshan from the Schoolof Information Science and Technology.

This time, the Asian contests in Hangzhou is hosted by ZhejiangSci-TechUniversity. 79 universities including Tsinghua University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Fudan University, Sun Yat-sen University and ZhejiangUniversity sent 138 teams to compete in the contest. These teams are selected from 669 teams of 168 universities through the internet preliminary contests held on September 19.
