On September 23 and 24, which are also Mid –Autumn Festival holidays, the 2010 “recruiting war” broke out on the stilt floor of Zhi Shan building at the east campus.

More than 70 communities including music, sports, chess, calligraphy, painting, economics, finance, commonweal and network techniques attended the recruiting. The booths of each community are decorated with balloons that dazzled every visitor. Many new students said that the campus life is so colorful, and the senior students’ enthusiasms make them anticipate the new life in SYSU. They consider the communities to be a stage where they can practice themselves and improve their abilities. “You can choose to practice or you can choose to make contributions,” said one interviewer from Love Association. “During the interview, you can feel the passion of the interviewees.”

Choosing a suitable association and arranging your time properly is also a tricky business. Thinking over the matters according to one’s interests will make the campus life more colorful. It will also broaden the students horizon while improve their ability of communicating with others. The recruiting was held by the students’ community department of SYSU Youth Association. Guests from universities of Guangdong Students Federation and Foshan Students Federation also visited the recruiting.
