This formal conference began with the national anthem and everyone saluted with their eyes. Then came the address of the secretary of the Youth League of Sun Yat-Sen University followed by the opening speech of the deputy secretary of the Party committee of Life Science Academy. Soon after that, the present president of Life Science Student Union and the present deputy of Youth League gave their annual conclusive report respectively.
Then, the formal election began with the speech given by the candidates according to the sequence they have casted lots before. The first candidate seemed a little nervous and hence did not perform well, but she succeeded in keeping herself calm towards the audiences in front of her. She did not finish her speech due to the lack of time. The second candidate showed his overwhelming vigor and determination to us and as a consequence, he did a good job. Everyone here gave him a standing ovation. The rest of candidates all performed well. From their contents presented to the audience, many constructive policies and innovative ideas were shown. That might indicate the taking shape of a new vigorous Student Union. After they had all finished their speech, all of them were required to give a last sentence to canvass. Once the last sentence was over the supreme supervisor Wenwu Hu and his fellows collected the votes at once and began to count. During that time, some retrospective video was played, showing every moment of every activity during the past year, joyful and moving.
Finally came the most exciting moment of the election - the result. The top three candidates gained 128 votes, 107 votes and 104 votes respectively. They bowed to the audience and the whole conference hall was boiling. One boy and two girls, they had made up the new presidium and together with 7 newly selected administers, they formed the next Student Union.
