On October 14, 2015, the 6th Management Committee of Board of Directors of IFCEN (Sino-French Institute of Nuclear Engineering and Technology) held the first meeting at the headquarter office of CEA (Atomic Energy and Alternative Energies Commission) in Paris, France.
The meeting was hosted by the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Prof. LUO Jun, President of Sun Yat-sen University (SYSU). The attendees included Mr. WEI Zhonglin, Vice Director of Department of Education of Guangdong Province; Prof. WEI Minghai, Vice President of SYSU; Prof. WANG Biao, Chinese Dean of IFCEN; Mr. ZHANG Guoqiang, assistant of president of CGN Nuclear Power College (representing Mr. HE Yu, President of CGN); Mr. LIU Zaizeng from the DEDRC (Department of Energy, Development and Reform Commission) of Guangdong Province (representing Mr. Zhang Zulin, Director of DEDRC); Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors, Prof. Brigitte Plateau, President of Grenoble INP; Daniel Verwaerde, President of CEA; Christian Lerminiaux, President of Ecole de Chimie ParisTech; Pierre Béroux, Nuclear Consultant of EDF President; Thanh-Truc Vu from French Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research; Jean-Marie Bourgeois, French Dean of IFCEN.

The committee members listened to IFCEN’s 2014-2015 general report on the institute’s development, student study, pre-employment, 2016 Enrollment plan, Chinese faculty training and recruitment, the construction and development of R&D center, 2014 financial report of both sides, etc. They also discussed and approved next year's preparatory and engineering syllabus, internship policy, teacher recruitment plan, etc.
President LUO Jun made a further comment regarding the institute’s future teaching plan, the arrangement of the teacher, pedagogical transfer and the industrial cooperation, etc. Committee members expressed high appreciation for the achievements of the institute for the last five years.
Based on the successful cooperation during the first agreement (2010-2016), both sides agreed and signed the second cooperation agreement (2016-2022) upon this opportunity. IFCEN will further improve the Sino-French cooperation in the elite engineer training, as well as scientific research and cooperation in the field of nuclear energy.
