On Nov 18th, the four-month long 8th SYSU AIRTAC Social Practice Activity came to its closing ceremony. The activity was hosted by Students’ Affairs Department, Sun Yat-sen University and Zhejiang AIRTAC international group and co-hosted by SYSU Sanyu Club.
83 teams participated in the activity and each team carried out their public affairs activities during the summer vacation. According to the principles of “fair, open and just” and taking the activities’ actual effects and service evaluation into account, the university ran through preliminary, semi-final and final sections. During the activity, with the purpose of contribution to the society, the students were all full of enthusiasm, followed a realistic and pragmatic approach, paid attention to people's livelihood, helped the social vulnerable groups and conveyed the warmth, love and hope. They combined professional skills with public practice to enhance their understanding of the society.
SYSU AIRTAC Social Practice Activity is cooperated between Sun Yat-sen University and Zhengjiang AIRTAC international group since 2008. It is a public welfare activity sponsored by the enterprise and organized by the university. The purpose of the activity is to encourage students to apply their knowledge, serve the society with practical action and be dedicated to public welfare activities. The theme of the activity was to “Serve the Society, Devote Our Love”. The activity is hosted every winter and summer vacation and after the activity, there are summary, communication and display sections.
