On the afternoon of Nov. 17th, the Vice President of California Fullerton State University , Doctor Wang Shiben gave a lecture on invitation about the student management in US colleges and universities. Hao Dengfeng, Secretary of Party Working Committee of Zhuhai Campus, met with Doc. Wang Shiben. Deputy secretaries, counselors and assistant counselors, who take charge of student management in Zhuhai campus, listened to the lecture attentively and took part in the discussion and communication.

In the first place, Vice President Wang reviewed the history of US tertiary education and student management in colleges and universities. Combining his years of working experience in university student management , Doc. Wang gave a systematic introduction to the features of US students, the management structure in US colleges and universities, as well as the objective, function and mission of student management and service. He also elaborated the basic skills, expertise and abilities needed in student management and service. Vice President Wang also utilized plenty of data and cases to give a systematic introduction to the institutional framework, operating mechanism of student management in CSUF, and the operation of student clinics and psychology consultation centers.

The lecture broadened teachers’ horizons by giving them a general knowledge of the basic information on student management in US colleges and universities. At the meantime, it helped the teachers who conduct student management learn something from this and pioneer in instructions. After the lecture, Vice President Wang had a heated discussion with the present teachers.
