Yangcheng Evening News reports, the 9th“SYSU Aurora Cup”DV Contest Awards was held recently in auditorium of the School of Communication and Design on the east campus of SYSU (located in the University Town), where DV fans from universities and colleges nationwide gathered.

In recent years, more and more university students born in the 1980s and 1990s have tried try to reflect on the society and life in a unique way with DVs, which provide the truest rather than the most beautiful scenes, and the most touching rather than the most pleasant music. The DV contest this year has 180 entries from nationwide universities and colleges in total, and presented 9 awards after layers of screening for 5 months, namely Best Sound, Best Editing, Best Cinematography, Best Popularity, Best (Leading ) Actor, Best (Leading) Actress, Best Director, Best Documentary Feature, and Best Motion Picture (Not Documentary Feature).
