The 8th Directors Inauguration of Alumni Association of Zhong Shan University was Held in Hong Kong

On March 12, the 8th Directors Inauguration of Zhong Shan Medicine School Alumni Association, SYSU was held in Hong Kong. Zheng Detao, secretary of the Party Committee of SYSU, Li Ping, deputy secretary, Li Mengfeng, vice-president of SYSU, Chen Ruzhu, the president of KeLin Foundation and leaders from HKMAO in Guangdong, Hong Kong Liaison Office and relevant departments as well as alumnus from Hong Kong were present at the inauguration. The inauguration has honored outstanding alumni Dr. Liu Yongsheng and Dr. Liang Zhaokuan, who won the World Outstanding Chinese Award.

As a representative of SYSU, Secretary Zhen Detao addressed the alumni, sending his warmest regards. He also acknowledged the alumni of Hong Kong have made a contribution to the prosperity of Hong Kong and expressed thanks to their concern and support to SYSU.

Li Mengfeng, vice-president of SYSU, introduced the discipline construction and medical and health services of SYSU medicine school and the affiliated hospitals to the alumni and guests. Professor Liang Zhihong, former Hong Kong legislative councilors and former Hong Kong hospital authority chairman, Li Lie, president of the 7th Alumni Association of Zhong Shan Medicine University, and Yang Mo, the representative of the 8th Alumni Association of Zhong Shan Medicine University, has made a speech at the inauguration.

In the morning, the secretary Zheng Detao and the deputy secretary Li Ping communicated with alumni representatives from Hong Kong and abroad. Zheng Detao introduced the latest development of SYSU and exchanged opinions with the alumni on how to make greater contributions to the social stability and economic development of Hong Kong.
