Stephens” (American journalist famous for exposing facts) delivered a speech in East Campus entitled “Issues during China’s Transformation Period and Responsibilities of Journalists”.

Being a journalist for more than twenty years, Wang Keqin has his unique experience of interviewing and reporting, such as the in-depth coverage of “Dingzhou Homicide Case”, "Shanxi Vaccination Case”, and “Car Crash in Hebei University”. With such cases, Wang wants to tell the university students how to be a responsible journalist and how to write good and true reports. In his speech, he points out that what the journalists should look for are facts and evidences; and journalists play a role of both witness and reporter. In addition to that, he also talks about the current problems in China, such as people’s livelihood, obstacles in democracy, predicament of civil rights and other issues. All these issues in fact are quite closely related with the works of journalists and pressmen, and the supervision from the public would help solve these problems.
