From June 5th to June 6th, the finals for the South China site of the 6th “Bo Chuang Cup” embedded design contest for national university students took place on the east campus of SYSU. Among the 98 teams from 17 universities in Guangdong, Guangxi, Fujian and Hainan joining in this contest, 55 entered the final match. By careful demonstration and smart reply, the representative team made up of SYSU students Sun Mengshi, Liang Chenghui, Zheng Dequan and He Conghui (supervised by Chen Lili) won the first prize. Another 4 competing teams of SYSU got two second prizes and two third prizes respectively.
With expensing scale and increasing influence, the “Bo Chuang Cup” embedded design contest for national university students, a nationwide match, has developed into an annual contest with the largest scale and highest standard since its first match in 2005. The 6th contest in 2010 was divided into six sub-regional matches, among which the South China match was undertaken by the School of Software of SYSU and co-organized by the School of Information Science and Technology as well as the experimental teaching center of the east campus. This match covered four provinces: Guangdong, Guangxi, Fujian and Hainan.
